The "Veil of Perception"
The Stingray Project challenges our claim of objectivity, using water and image as a metaphor of the veil of perception between us and reality.
Even though water is transparent, it distorts the vision of the image, just like our background and personal experience influences our appreciation of situation and people.
Created in Singapore, then deployed in Thailand and Australia, the Stingray-Project was intended to take Art outside of the traditional galleries.
The story of the Stingray-Project is a story of hope and despair, success and fiasco, an emotional rollercoaster that inspired the writing of a feature film currently in development: "Exposure".
