Sea Urchin Films was founded by Berty Cadilhac in 2014. The first production was "Art Ache", a romantic comedy written and directed by Berty. This feature film now represented by Shoreline Entertainment.

Berty has a background in photography, writing and stand up comedy.

He also created "The Stingray Project" when he was living in Asia between 2002 and 2004.

In 2016, Berty won the SACD prize for best playwright at the Avignon OFF festival, for his play "Cuisine Diplomatique" that was played 125 times in London, Paris, Avignon and Chartres.

Berty lives in London, was born French, and acquired Australian and British citizenship.
